Mark Lamb, renowned as "America's Sheriff," is a distinguished leader in both Arizona's law enforcement and the national political landscape. Serving as the 24th Sheriff of Pinal County from 2017 to 2024, he combined extensive law enforcement experience with entrepreneurial insight to prioritize public safety and community well-being. As a strong advocate for constitutional conservative principles, Sheriff Lamb became a national voice for securing America’s southern border and addressing the urgent crisis of drug and fentanyl-related deaths. In 2024, Sheriff Lamb pursued the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate, driven by a commitment to leverage his expertise in border security and conservative fiscal management to influence effective policy in Washington. Today, while “America’s Sheriff” no longer wears a badge, Mark Lamb remains devoted to tackling critical issues at both the national and regional levels. His empowering leadership style, characterized by a "Fear Not, Do Right" attitude and practical approach, continues to inspire hope and action among constituents and advocates for strong, principled governance. Early Life and Education Born in Hilo, Hawaii, and raised in diverse locales including Manila, Panama, and various parts of the United States, Mark developed a deep appreciation for America and its freedoms. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1990 in Chandler, Arizona, before embarking on a journey that would see him excel in both business and law enforcement. Law Enforcement Career Before joining law enforcement, Mark owned several small businesses. He began his career as a police officer for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, where he quickly distinguished himself by being named Rookie of the Year and later receiving accolades as Officer of the Year and Detective of the Year. His valedictorian status at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Academy further underscores his dedication to excellence. Sheriff Lamb's law enforcement tenure has been marked by significant achievements, including serving on the SWAT team and leading investigations into gang violence and drug trafficking. He played a pivotal role in a multi-agency operation that dismantled one of Arizona’s most dangerous gangs, earning the Award of Excellence from the Arizona Gang Investigators Association. Sheriff of Pinal County While overseeing an Arizona county comparable in size to Connecticut, Sheriff Lamb managed a staff of over 650 employees and a budget of approximately $60 million. Under his leadership, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office has focused on community engagement and effective crime prevention. He has led specialized narcotics and anti-smuggling teams and worked as a national leader to secure America’s southern border in collaboration with regional and federal partners. He implemented the Federal Government’s 287(g) program in the Pinal County Detention Center, which facilitates cooperation with ICE to enforce immigration laws. Personal Life Mark resides in San Tan Valley, Arizona, with his wife Janel of 30 years and is a proud father of five young adults, finding joy in his role as a grandfather to Brody, Elaine, Ivy and Cohen.
